Faith Formation for the Whole Parish Community

Adult Faith Formation, by which people consciously grow in the life of Christ through experience, reflection, prayer, and study, must  be “the central task  in the catechetical enterprise”,  becoming the axis around which revolves the Catechesis of  childhood  and adolescence as well as that of old age.”

….We, as Catholic Bishops  of the United States call the Church in our country to a renewed commitment to adult faith formation, positioning it at the heart of the Catechetical vision.”

--- Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

St. Martin's Parish has two on-going programs of Faith Formation:

Little Rock Scripture Study at St. Martin's Parish

“…. In Sacred Scripture, God meets us and speaks to us with great love.

The force and power of the Word of God is so great that it stands as the support and energy of the whole Church, the strength of faith for its members, the food of the soul, and the pure source of the spiritual life. Because this is true, easy access to Scripture should be provided to all the faithful.”

From Dei Verbum (Constitution on Divine Revelation) -  Vatican II In Plain English by  Bill Huebsch
